Board Members
DWFC: Robert joined in 1992 and has been a DWFC Board member since 2000 leading the organization in a variety of executive and committee positions, including but not limited to President (2012-present); Vice President (2004-2012); Technical Committee Chair (1996-present); Constitution & By-Law Committee Chair (2006-present); Education Committee Chair (2008-2015); and Membership Chair (2010-2014).
Education: Bachelor’s Business from National-Louis University / Minor: Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois
Career: Robert Negri joined U.S. Gypsum Company (USG Corp.) in 1980 working at the USG Corporate Innovation Center. Robert champions exploratory research for Key Corporate and leads “Big Idea” projects. Robert also has vast experience as a successful formulator for Joint Compound, Gypsum Plaster, Paint Coatings, Textures, Sealants, and wall systems. Robert is a serial inventor and currently holds 12+ U.S. Patents, several International Patents, and multiple Trades Secrets.
Personal: Likes to live an active style including Biking, Hiking, and Skiing. Also enjoys watching football, hockey, and Cubs baseball.
DWFC: A member since its inception in 1992 and a crucial supporter for the growth of the organization. Todd was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2013 and serves as the Secretary.
Education: Bachelors from California State University – Long Beach
Career: In 1987 joined Westpac / Hamilton as a Sales Representative for the Southern California market and moved up the ladder in various positions.
DWFC: T.J. began attending the DWFC meetings in 2011 as a representative of Southern Wall Products. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2014 and is the chairman for the Membership Committee.
Education: Bachelors from Syracuse University in Mechanical Engineering
Career: T.J. began in his career in the compressor manufacturing operations for Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, NY. He held positions as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer, and Quality Engineer. He transferred to the Atlanta, GA area to facilitate and supervise the relocation of a compressor assembly operation to the new plant. In 2005, T.J. joined Southern Wall Products as the Plant Manager and continues to lead the operations team at Southern Wall Products today.
Personal: In his spare time, T.J. enjoys spending time with his family, working with the local marching band, and playing poker.
DWFC: An active council participant since in 2009 representing Lafarge North America. Continued membership with Continental Building Products in 2013 and elected to the DWFC Board of Directors in 2014. Additional leadership role as chairperson for the Program and Education Committee.
Education: University of Northern Kentucky
Career: Began career in the joint compound industry with National Gypsum Company in 1995, performing various manufacturing roles in Atlanta, GA. In 2008, began a career with Lafarge North America in the Cincinnati area and continued with Continental Building Products in 2013 to the present.
Personal: Chris enjoys hunting, fishing, welding, off-roading, and hiking adventures in his very limited and precious spare time.
DWFC: Kelly joined the DWFC in 2015 as Website Committee Chairman and in 2017 was elected to the Board of Directors.
Education: Bachelors from Georgia State University
Career: Kelly Guinsler started in the construction business in sales in 2001 with the United States Gypsum Company in the Richmond, VA market, calling on Home Depot and Lowes. He transferred to the Philadelphia market in 2003 as a Contractor Representative promoting products and systems to large commercial drywall contractors. In 2004, Kelly joined the National Gypsum Company in sales and later in Product Management and in 2015 started his current role as Manager of Quality Services.
Personal: In his spare time, Kelly enjoys family time with his wife Diane and son Jackson, working out and the occasional round of golf.
DWFC: Guy was elected to the DWFC board in 2020, after considerable experience representing USG in other industry groups (ASTM, GA, IRI).
Education: Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of California.
Career: Guy has spent time on the Chemistry faculty at the University of Wisconsin and University of Vermont. He has worked on construction chemicals with BASF (formerly Master Builders), and on construction tools and fasteners, and various manufactured products with Illinois Tool Works, before joining USG in 2006. He has worked in the research center in Libertyville, IL on all finishing products, accessories (tapes, corner bead,…), and industrial plaster products.
Personal: In his spare time, Guy enjoys cycling, travel, and beating up on Robert Negri in fantasy football.
